Kitchen & Bath Design Certification Program
Century College in White Bear Lake began the Kitchen & Bath Design (KBD) program in the fall of 2002. This program has gained national recognition and provides the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary for the kitchen and/or bath design specialists. The KBD program boasts numerous graduates that are successful practicing professionals, not only in Minnesota, but throughout the U.S., Canada, Virgin Islands and Europe. The KBD program is an accelerated approach to learning that consists of 30 semester credits that can be completed on a full or part-time basis. The classroom section is taught at the International Market Square (IMS) located in downtown Minneapolis, and is host to many interior design and architectural resources. The program is also available completely online from anywhere in the world. The KBD program is NKBA accredited, and is the only online option available with this credential. Monthly information sessions are conducted from December through July of each year at the IMS location.

Century Graduate, Rosemary Merrill, AKBD
“In 2002 I was inspired to return to school to follow my passion to be a Kitchen and Bath Designer. I was thrilled to find a new program through Century College offering certification as a Kitchen and Bath Designer through the National Kitchen and Bath Association. The convenience and inspiring surroundings at International Market Square, the encouraging and supportive instructors along with the quality of classes that are specifically designed train you about design, construction and sales were instrumental in my success as a Kitchen and Bath Designer. I was very fortunate to have the experiences I had right out of school that taught me a lot about the business, before starting my own company, Casa Verde Design with my business partners, Susan Brunn and Susan Jacobs in 2008. Since then we have gained national recognition for outstanding design, winning national and local awards.

My experience of graduating from Century College has opened new opportunities for me and allowed me to surpass my dreams in the industry as a Kitchen & Bath Designer.”
